A 20cm drum lampshade made from recycled silk, naturally dyed with madder root to create a soft pale terracotta. A subtle grey abstract line pattern sits beneath the dye, adding quiet detail and depth when lit.
The silk was repurposed from a patterned shirt, with the original design still faintly visible through the dye.
Each shade is dyed and made by hand in my studio above the shop in Worthing, with gentle variations in tone that make every piece unique.
