A 25cm empire lampshade made from vintage cotton with a pink rose pattern, naturally dyed with gorse flowers to create a soft, pale yellow. The floral design shows gently through the dye, adding warmth and quiet detail when lit.
The gorse flowers were handpicked from the Sussex Downs, bringing a subtle variation and sense of place to the colour.
Each shade is dyed and made by hand in my studio above the shop in Worthing, with natural variations that make every piece unique.
