A 25cm empire lampshade made from vintage cotton with a pale yellow and green floral pattern, naturally dyed with rhubarb root to create a soft, gentle yellow. The underlying print remains visible through the dye, adding subtle depth when lit.
The rhubarb root was sourced from a friend’s allotment in Worthing.
Each shade is dyed and made by hand in my studio above the shop in Worthing, with natural variations that make every piece unique.
